In like 98 degrees, there is a live person in the astronaut suit giving us a thumbs up. High five for you!
Kennedy Space Center
In August, we went to Florida and of course had to visit the Kennedy Space Center. At first, the outside area feels empty but yet the parking lot is full..like where is everybody? There's no one walking outside, maybe because it was super hot/humid. But once we walked inside the building of Atlantis - ahhh, there's all the people! In this magnificent air-conditioned building, you become part of the line of people waiting to experience the Atlantis. You step thru the story of the Atlantis and then become part of the narrative afterwards when you come face to face with the shuttle Atlantis! From all the fun, informative and interactive activities found in the building, we all remembered the blue slide! Thumbs up all around!
Hours: 9am-6pm
Parking: $10 for an automobile
Tickets: Adults - $50, Child - $40
Time we spent there: 4-5 hours
Website: https://www.kennedyspacecenter.com
Tips: Bring a hat and your own water and even snacks. Inside Atlantis, there are lockers but those were full when we went.
